If you need 4x4 truck tires for off-road purposes, you should know that a traditional pair of passenger tires just won't do the job. You need tires that are especially designed for off-road use. Off-road tires are often thicker, wider, taller and offer more traction than passenger and light-truck tires. Another thing to consider if you are going off-road or hauling lots of freight are truck chains. Just as there are all kinds of tires, there are all kinds of chains. Your mechanic should be able to help you outfit your four-wheel drive truck with the perfect tires and chains if required.
